Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor

April 3, 2010 – Saturday; I received two phone calls during the night which is unusual. Had to make two hospital visits -- One of the ladies in our church passed out and was taken to the hospital and immediately taken to the heart ICU for observation…learned this morning that she will need a pace maker installed and they plan on doing it on Easter morning. The other call was about a man who really felt he was having a heart attack. His wife started taking him to the hospital but had to stop and let the ambulance come and get him as the pain was very bad. He is doing fine and the doctors could not find where he had a heart attack so they are adjusting some medicine and he will be released later today. One “funny” story regarding this is the EMT personnel tilted the gurney and he fell off…certainly glad it was not a heart attack. Spent the remainder of my day with my wife relaxing at home…we will be celebrating the resurrection in a little while…tomorrow we celebrate!!
